U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command has awarded Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems a $402.7 million fixed-price-incentive, firm-target contract modification to exercise options for AN/SPY-6 low-rate initial production.
The Defense Department said this modification will provide for three AN/SPY-6 LRIP units that will be deployed on Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyers.
Currently in production, SPY-6 is the Navy’s next-generation integrated air and missile defense radar.
Work will be performed in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and is slated to be completed by March 2023.
