ManTech International Corp. has signed a deal to acquire Kforce Government Solutions for $115 million, in a move expected to grow ManTechâs footprint in the Veterans Affairs Department.
The acquisition will add 500 employees to the ManTech team and allow the company to deliver services through VAâs Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation program, known as T4NG. The 10-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract aims to transform VAâs IT environment.
KGS, formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of Kforce, provides a range of technology solutions, transformation management, data management and analytics in support of federal health and defense missions.
âThis acquisition is consistent with ManTechâs targeted federal civilian expansion strategy,â said Kevin Phillips, ManTech president and CEO. âWe are pleased to welcome KGSâ talented employees, differentiated capabilities and important customers,â
Maureen Coyle, CEO of KGS said: âWe are thrilled to become a part of ManTech. This strategic combination will help us better meet our clientsâ needs by broadening and deepening our solution offerings. Additionally, our cultures are well aligned and our employees will benefit from expanded professional development opportunities.â
ManTech will fund the acquisition from cash on hand with additional funding from its existing line of credit.
KippsDeSanto & Co. is advising KFORCE on the transaction, which is expected to close this month.
