Data security firm Lookout has appointed Bob Stevens vice president of sales for the Americas.
Stevens joined Lookout in 2014 as vice president of federal systems, where he helped drive adoption of mobile security solutions across the public sector.
Overall, he has nearly three decades of experience working in the public sector cybersecurity and IT fields.
“I’m humbled and honored to accept this appointment,” he said. “I look forward to leveraging Lookout’s existing success in the public sector market to expand that growth across North America. As we continue to address our customers’ problems in the post-perimeter world, it’s crucial that we ensure they receive the value they require in order to run their operations.”
As VP of North American sales, the company said Stevens will focus on establishing relationships and business across the region, focusing on major vertical markets, including health care, financial and retail.
Stevens will also work to build upon the company’s position as the market leader in the mobile threat defense space to enable organizations to adopt a post-perimeter security architecture, the company said.
“Given the lasting success the public sector organization had at Lookout and our many incredible partners that helped the team provide meaningful solutions to customers, we’re confident that we will be able to expand this success into new markets and verticals in North America,” Stevens said.
