IT and management consulting firm TeraThink has won a prime spot on a contract that seeks to improve financial management at the Defense Department by building a real-time dashboard of critical financial data.
The Improved Dashboard Analytics and Workflow Support, or IDAWS, blanket purchase agreement is a multiple-award vehicle worth an estimated $140 million over five years.
The dashboard program is designed to help improve workflow management and provide near real-time access to key DOD financial data, which will significantly reduce the need for manual data gathering.
“Once created, the Financial Management Tools and Workflows will provide commanders, directors, managers, financial managers, and resource analysts a complete, integrated picture of the DOD’s financial status via program-specific metrics,” the company said in a news release.
TeraThink’s piece of the deal includes developing, sustaining and enhancing an integrated reporting system using innovative query, analysis, reporting and data visualization technologies.
“TeraThink is excited to apply our information management and predictive analytics expertise to enhance the tools needed by DoD for decision support,” said TeraThink CEO Dan Maguire. “This award extends TeraThink’s long and successful financial management history with DoD. We look forward to delivering innovative solutions that will directly support the DOD’s resource management objectives.”
