On April 10, the Intelligence and National Security Alliance is hosting a day-long acquisition symposium, inviting senior leaders from the government and industry to address how to enable service-based acquisition at speed and scale in support of national security.
The INSA symposium will feature Katrina McFarland, former acting assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics & technology and Army acquisition executive, and Kevin Meiners, assistant director of national intelligence for acquisition, technology and facilities, as keynote speakers. Other speakers and panelists will discuss recruitment and retention of the acquisition workforce and ways to accelerate entry of new technologies into the government workplace, among other topics.
The event takes place 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at INSA headquarters at 4301 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203.
Aside from the two keynotes, the symposium will feature an intelligence community deputy directors panel and panels titled, “Where Innovation and Speed of Acquisition Intersect” and “It’s Cool to Be an Acquisition Professional.”
