Kicking off National Engineers Week, George Mason University is hosting a free youth conference on Feb. 17 starting 9 a.m. The event will feature several sessions allowing children and their parents to explore different aspects of engineering.
Guest speakers include:
- Dr. Ángel Cabrera, president, George Mason University
- Ken Harvey, former NFL linebacker and author
- Diane G Miller, director of infosec operations and identity management and director of global cyber education and workforce development programs, Northrop Grumman
- Tamika Hollis, executive programs director of Cyber and Intelligence Mission Solutions division at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems
The event dives into the fields of civil engineering, computer science and technology, systems engineering, bio-engineering, mechanical engineering and more.
