Janet Waldron has been hired as the first vice president for human resources at SOS International.
Waldron has more than 20 years of human resources experience and 15 years in government contracting. Her resume includes stints with Chenega Corp., The Tatitlek Corp., CH2M Hill and Harbor Enterprises Inc. / North 60 Petroleum.
Waldron previously served on the Worker’s Compensation board of directors for Alaska and was named to the Top 40 Under 40 Alaska list by the Alaska Journal of Commerce. She has a bachelor’s in humanities from the University of Alaska.
“She brings a wealth of experience to our team and will help the company compete for top talent as we continue to grow,” said Julian Setian, president and CEO of SOSi. “Her focus will be on organizational development, talent development, training and compliance.”
Waldron also enjoys art and competitive shooting. She won an NCAA Division I Rifle Championship with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
