A new data center is opening in northern Virginia, and leaders are inviting IT executives to come see the 83-acre campus in Prince William County.
The grand opening of Iron Mountain’s VA-1 Data Center will be Sept. 14 from 2-7 p.m. at 11680 Hayden Road, Manassas, Virginia. Executives, data center partners and influencers are expected to attend.
Guests can go on private guided tours, attend educational and thought leadership sessions, and try their hand at RC racing, flight simulating and drone flying competitions. There will also be food and drink from local vendors.
Iron Mountain is the global leader in storage and information management services, serving more than 230,000 customers, including 95 percent of the Fortune 1000.
Iron Mountain also operates data centers in Boston and Kansas City and outside Pittsburgh.
The Manassas campus is designed for four data centers over time and up to 60 megawatts of power to support Iron Mountain’s wholesale and colocation data center services. The first one, VA-1, features 10.5 megawatts of Uptime Tier III-certified data center capacity across multiple data halls.
VA-1 features perimeter offsets and secure access controls that meet law enforcement and intelligence standards.
