    AMERICAN SYSTEMS Awarded Navy Task Order

    AMERICAN SYSTEMS will work with a Navy unit to conduct technical and forensic analysis of explosive ordnance under a 5-year agreement.

    AMERICAN SYSTEMS was awarded a $36.1 million task order to support the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division/ Expeditionary Exploitation Unit ONE. The order involves conducting global technical and forensic exploitation and analysis of recovered explosive ordnance, their components and other explosive hazards.

    AMERICAN SYSTEMS will help EXU-1 provide analytical support of Joint, Navy, Service, Interagency, NATO and Partner Nation doctrine and documents related to weapons technical intelligence, exploitation, and EXU-1 mission sets or areas of interest.

    “We fully understand the gravity of the Expeditionary Exploitation Unit ONE’s mission and what’s at stake,” said Peter Smith, president and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “We are extremely proud to partner with the U.S. Navy in support of the global freedom of maneuver and force protection and the joint force and geographic combatant commander’s mission objectives.”
