    Mark Day, Suntiva

Mark Day, vice president for Suntiva’s civilian business, will champion the company’s digital, workforce and business transformation solutions and services designed for Enabling Smart Government.

A recognized government leader and industry champion, Day and his expert team will support government leaders, leveraging IT and governance, organizational performance and human capital and federal acquisition lifecycle knowledge in support of achieving mission and operational success.

Prior to Suntiva, Day’s federal leadership roles included chief technology officer at the Environmental Protection Agency, deputy chief information officer for technology, and director of the Office of Technology, Operations and Planning, where he led improvement of EPA’s security program score from an F to an A+.

Day served as Housing and Urban Development Department CTO, developing the overall technology acquisition approach and agency cloud strategy. At the General Services Administration, he served as deputy assistant commissioner of IT services and director for the Office of Strategic programs, where he was chief operating officer for the $23 billion Integrated Technology Services portfolio and led development and implementation of the ITS Category Management program.

Day was twice recognized as a Federal 100 award winner for his contributions to how the federal government acquires, develops and manages IT. Day also ran his own company providing strategy, technical and acquisition support to leading government services companies and served CTO at MBI, a knowledge management and IT services company.

“Mark understands the multidisciplinary lens required for developing truly transformative, innovative and secure solutions designed to improve organizational performance,” Suntiva President and CEO Dr. Hany Malik said. “He knows transformation goes far beyond updating and migrating legacy systems. It means designing cheaper, better and faster solutions for achieving mission success, efficient operations and better service delivery.”

“As a key designer of Suntiva’s Enabling Smart Government initiative, Mark and his team integrate change management and adoption services throughout the project lifecycle helping government leaders achieve results in the face of constant challenges and constrained environments,” COO Gail Rissler said.
