Buchanan & Edwards Inc. has announced Mary Tabb Howard, formerly of Accenture, has joined the company as new director of strategic capture.

Howard, who has two decades of experience in capture and procurement, will be responsible for growing Buchanan & Edwards’ contract opportunities across the national security market and law enforcement communities to support the organization’s continued growth.

“We’re extremely excited Mary is joining our team to help us expand our support to agencies with a national security mission,” said Sean Gleason, vice president of business development for Buchanan & Edwards. “Her proven expertise and demonstrable success in this industry is unparalleled, and will be a tremendous asset to BE as we continue to move towards the next level of growth.”

At Accenture Federal Services, Howard boasted a 90 percent win rate as a senior proposal manager responsible for leading large, must-win proposal efforts. Previously, Howard worked as a senior consultant to multiple clients seeking federal awards, where she led proposal efforts to agencies including the departments of Justice, Homeland Security, Treasury and State.

Howard is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture, and the University of Maryland University College, where she earned an additional bachelor’s degree in information systems. She has a master’s degree in information systems management from Bowie State University.
