MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that MacB President and CEO Sid E. Fuchs has been selected as a keynote speaker at the 2017 Florida GovCon Summit, which will be held on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Doubletree Tampa Westshore by Hilton.
Mr. Fuchs will discuss creating productive relationships between small and large businesses, as well as within the workforce and industry during his scheduled address on Thursday, March 30 at 11:30 a.m. He is a well-known public speaker and author of the book entitled, “Get Off the Bench: Unleashing the Power of Strategic Networking Through Relationships.” Mr. Fuchs was also named one of the Top 25 Leaders in Government Contracting by WashingtonExec in 2016 and 2017.
The Florida GovCon Summit is an annual signature event hosted by Solvability®, a company that helps small businesses win more federal contracts. More than 150 attendees are expected from area businesses in Tampa, Orlando and Florida’s Space Coast, as well as employees who work for companies headquartered elsewhere. Host representatives from NASA, SOCOM, PEO STRI and many prime contractors will be interacting with small businesses, entrepreneurs, veterans, and other attendees to collaborate and gain exposure in the federal market.
With an overall theme of Teaming for the Bigger Deals, keynote speakers and presenters will be available during interactive breakout sessions that will occur more quickly versus the traditional stage presentations. Topics will include small businesses ready to become prime contractors, how to close the gap between subs and primes, and cybersecurity risks/regulations. Additionally, speakers will talk about technology trends, how to collaborate and build partnerships, and growth issues including joint ventures, pricing and compliance strategies.
“The goal of Florida GovCon is to engage the federal community in a more interactive and collaborative environment similar to a conference room setting,” said Fuchs. “Part of my keynote address will focus on helping attendees learn how to develop the skills and methodologies needed to build professional productive relationships, and how to view them as valued and tangible assets that will grow more powerful over time.”
“Having read Sid’s book, I know his message will really resonate with attendees who are all searching for strategies to become more competitive and grow like MacB,” said Jenny Clark, Chief Executive Officer of Solvability. “The federal small business community is looking for guidance and insights to help them navigate through the many challenges faced by government contractors, and to thought leaders who will help them learn new techniques and approaches that will facilitate the growth of their business.”
