WashingtonExec will present Children’s Science Center Executive Director Adalene “Nene” Spivy with an honorary STEM Champion award at the 2017 K-12 STEM Symposium for her tireless efforts in promoting STEM activities on behalf of children in the DMV area.

WashingtonExec STEM Council Chairman Ed Swallow will present Spivy with the award.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized by the Washington Exec STEM Council for the Children’s Science Center’s work to inspire children to love learning STEM,” Spivy said. “We’re proud to be among many organizations in our region, including those participating in the STEM Symposium, who are working together towards a common goal of raising the next generation of leaders and innovators.”

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology Principal Dr. Evan Glazer received the award in 2015.
