Outcome Health (formerly ContextMedia) announced Feb. 2 Vivek Kundra has joined as executive vice president of provider solutions. Kundra will help drive growth, while promoting innovation across operations and solutions.

“Vivek is deeply committed to our mission of activating the best health outcome possible for every person in the world,” Outcome Health CEO and Founder Rishi Shah said. “We are so excited to have him lead the growth of our platform across provider facilities and build a ubiquitous presence across the health care delivery system.”

“Outcome Health is transforming the health care industry with an actionable intelligence platform that helps providers build 1:1 patient experiences that lead to healthy outcomes,” Kundra said. “I am excited to join a company that is helping deliver better outcomes for patients.”

Before joining Outcome Health, Kundra served as executive vice president at Salesforce. Prior to that, he served as the first federal chief information officer during the Obama administration, managing more than $80 billion in technology investments. He was credited with adopting game-changing cloud computing technologies, strengthening the cybersecurity posture of the nation and launching an open government movement.

Kundra was also named a fellow at Harvard University at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society and the Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy. The World Economic Forum selected Kundra as a 2011 Young Global Leader, representing a group of exceptional young leaders who share a commitment to shaping the global future.
