Vectrus Inc. announced Dec. 6 the appointment of Charles “Chuck” Prow as president and CEO, effective Dec. 6, 2016. He will also be appointed to the board of directors. Mattson and Company, a board advisory and executive search firm that specializes in senior executive talent selection and effective board governance, assisted in the search.

“Vectrus was pleased with the work that Mattson and Company did on this project,” Vectrus’ Non-Executive Chairman Lou Giuliano said. “We chose them because of their reputation, as well as their record of performance. They quickly became an integral part of our succession planning process, and provided the board with strategic expertise and counsel that enabled us to select a candidate that we have high confidence in.”

“Congratulations to Chuck and Vectrus!” KippsDeSanto & Co. Managing Director Robert D. Kipps said. “Chuck’s industry and leadership experience should be invaluable in taking Vectrus to the next level.”

“At IBM, Chuck ably demonstrated the ability to drive consistent growth and improve the performance of multi-billion dollar businesses,” NorthWind Partners Managing Partner Mark HuYoung said. “The recent experience at CPS allowed him to have an impact on the trajectory of a much smaller company and addressed a personal desire to pursue the risk/reward scenario outside of a Fortune 500 construct. The sum total of Chuck’s experience will prove invaluable to helping Vectrus compete and win in the market.”

Prow brings more than 25 years of leadership positions at IBM Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Coopers & Lybrand to the position.
