Serco Names David Cummins SVP of Transportation Business Unit

Serco Inc. announced Dec. 6 the appointment of David Cummins as senior vice president of the Transportation Business Unit. In this position, Cummins will oversee Serco’s work in the areas of Intelligent Transportation Systems, fleet management, aviation and air traffic control, rail and parking.

“With our ambitions and plans to grow our business within the transportation sector, we are pleased to have David join our Serco team,” Serco Inc. Chairman and CEO Dan Allen said. “He brings a broad set of experiences and rich history that will support our transportation business expansion.”

“Serco has a strong global reputation in the transportation market, and I look forward to helping harness those capabilities as the Company grows its transportation business across the United States and Canada,” Cummins said.

Cummins brings more than 15 years of experience in the areas of transportation and mobility solutions to the position. He most recently served as SVP of mobility solutions for Xerox. Cummins has also served as the director of operations planning and management for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic organizing committee and received the International Project of the Year Award, presented by the Project Management Institute, for his work during the Winter Olympic Games.
