InCadence Strategic Solutions Corp. announced Aug. 16 the State Department‘s Office of Acquisition Management has awarded the company a contract worth $12.6 million to provide operational support in implementing the Tactical High-Threat Operational Response, or THOR, system for the Office of the Chief Technology Officer in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The contract is for a base year and four option years.

“InCadence is excited to support the State Department Bureau of Diplomatic Security with biometric technology to help keep our men and women serving at America’s diplomatic posts worldwide safer,” InCadence President Anthony Iasso said. “This work is another demonstration that InCadence’s people and technologies continue to lead the way with key federal government customers, providing cutting-edge biometrics, identity management and intelligence services and solutions.”

The THOR system performs multimodal biometric collection and identification using fingerprints, iris and facial recognition in order to provide enhanced security and access control to State Department facilities.
