On the evening of June 2, 2016 WashingtonExec celebrated five years of business at its annual appreciation event at Congressional Country Club. The occasion was shared by many of Council members, past speaker, and longtime supporters. JD Kathuria, CEO, recognized and thanked a few first customers and advisors for their contributions to the success of WashingtonExec’s professional networking initiatives and digital magazine. One of the honors presented was the WashingtonExec Early Adopter Award, received by none other than Sumeet Shrivastava, President of Array Information Technology.
A valued member and advocate, Shrivastava contributed to the success of WashingtonExec in the early days in a variety of ways. Besides serving as Chairman of the Federal Business Council, Shrivastava was a leader of the Small Business Acquisition Reform Commission (SBARC), founded in 2011 to ensure that small business contractors not only survive, but also thrive in a highly competitive and dynamic government marketplace. He is also instrumental in WashingtonExec’s strong partnership with George Mason University’s Federal IT alumni network and serves on the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship Advisory Board for the GMU School of Business. Last but not least, Sumeet and the entire Shrivastava family are year-round resources and volunteers for the Annual K-12 STEM Symposium, held every March in Herndon, Virginia.
“Sumeet is responsible for the growth of WashingtonExec’s programs, big and small, in so many ways. It was an absolute honor to present him with the Early Adopter Award,” said JD Kathuria, CEO of WashingtonExec.
