Alexandria, Va.-based Robbins Gioia (RG) announced March 30 the appointment of Andrew Robinson as Chief Operations Officer.

“Andrew is a great leader in our industry, and we are delighted that he is joining our team,” RG CEO Brad King said. “Many of the opportunities that we have been nurturing as part of our strategic pivot into new markets are coming to fruition and his experience will be invaluable in making sure we are able to grow quickly while maintaining RG’s 35 year hallmark of making our customers successful.”

Robinson said he is excited to join RG at this time in its storied history.

“The plans and innovations that are well underway at RG give me great confidence that I am joining at a perfect time,” he said. “The chance to play a role in the strategy and development of such a great brand is a rare opportunity and challenge that I am eager to seize.”

Robinson previously served in a leadership position at ICF International for 10 years. Prior to work at ICF, he had a six-year tenure as a senior executive at Gartner and 13 years in systems, sales and management at Xerox.

Robinson is a member of the George Washington University Research Advisory Board and Center for Cyber and Homeland Security Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Program Management Institute Global Executive Council and Chair of ACT/IAC Institute of Innovation. He is a board member of Rendezvous’-Haiti. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and Troy University.
