Tetra Tech Inc. announced March 14 that the company has acquired INDUS Corporation of Vienna.
“Integrating Tetra Tech’s top-ranked water management consulting experience with INDUS’s spatial and water information management capabilities expands our services for key clients such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,” Tetra Tech’s Chairman and CEO Dan Batrack said. “With our combined expertise, we can assist customers in managing large data repositories and expand our smart water services, including analysis and real-time decision making in the water sector.”
“This transaction represents an exciting new chapter in our business,” NDUS Chairman and CEO Shivram Krishnan said. “It is an extraordinary opportunity for us to join a firm that broadens our IT technical capabilities focused on data analytics, cloud provisioning, and mobility services for projects across Tetra Tech’s end markets. Tetra Tech shares the same commitment to technical excellence and service that INDUS prides itself on providing to its clients.”
“Everyone in industry is very excited for Shiv and his team,” ARRAY Information Technology President Sumeet Shrivastava said. “I’ve known Shiv since almost the inception of Indus, and what is great about the story is that ultimately, when you look at the reasons that Tetra Tech made this acquisition, it is built on the same foundation of capability and competencies that Shiv originally envisioned when he started Indus — especially the geospatial space. It really says something to other entrepreneurs about focus and perseverance in your mission and the success that can drive.”
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. INDUS is joining Tetra Tech’s Water, Environment & Infrastructure business segment. The McLean Group, LLC, advised INDUS Corporation in the transaction.
INDUS is an information technology (IT) solutions firm focused on data analytics, geospatial analysis, secure infrastructure, and software applications management for U.S. federal government customers. The company has more than 150 employees and brings significant federal contracts in the IT sector.
