Tysons Corner, Va.-based Preferred Systems Solutions announced January 12 that it has acquired an Intelligence Community-focused system architecture and software design firm, Tetra Concepts. This acquisition will be its fifth in two years.

Once the transaction has been completed, Brian Husted (current President/CEO at Tetra Concepts) and Charles Griffin (current Vice President at Tetra Concepts) will both transition to Vice President roles within PSS’s National Security Group (NSG).

Husted stated, “We are extremely pleased to join PSS. Our collective capabilities allow us to accelerate the delivery of big data analytic solutions to our customers and provide the scale needed to obtain a greater share of the expanding cyber market.”

Scott Goss, CEO of PSS said, “We have been, and continue to be, keenly focused on developing a highly skilled workforce armed with the tools and experience necessary to provide innovative solutions to those tasked with protecting our national security. The acquisition of Tetra Concepts, with its successful track record of outstanding customer support within the Intelligence Community, continues our investment in companies, capabilities, and subject matter expertise required to strengthen PSS’s world-class support to our government and industry partners.”

Jim Ballard, President of PSS stated, “The strategy of NSG is to build portfolio of service offerings that will complement and enhance our ability to help the Intelligence Community identify and solve their most challenging problems. Tetra fits perfectly into that strategy given the expertise of their engineering team and their ability to deliver innovative solutions to their customers.”
