It was announced by iMapData, a data visualization and analysis company headquartered in McLean, VA, that is has merged with and taken the name of PlanetRisk, a technology and solutions company based in Bethesda, MD. The newly formed PlanetRisk will offer public and private customers a powerful, highly advanced level of informed decision-making.

McQuillan will retain the role of CEO at the newly formed PlanetRisk. He brings 25 years of federal sector experience, most recently he served as CMO of A-T Solutions. Mark Dumas, founder of PlanetRisk will become the Chief Strategy Officer of the newly formed PlanetRisk. Dumas, a leader in the area of geospatial analytics and entrepreneur was also also the founder and CEO of SPADAC which he sold in 2010.
