Fairfax, Va.-based Salient CRGT Inc. announced Nov. 12 two additions to its leadership team.
John Edgar has been named Chief Strategist of IT Transformation for Salient CRGT’s Innovation Centers, and Mark Colturi is now the Senior Vice President of the Federal Modernization of Systems and Services (FMSS) Business Unit.
“These new appointments fill two significant roles for our customers,” Salient CRGT CEO Brad Antle said. “John’s leadership will ensure Salient CRGT continues to apply the latest technologies to solving agencies’ complex mission challenges. Mark brings a wealth of experience to managing large-scale programs and preserving our customers’ investments in legacy systems. These are all essential components of our ability to help our customers meet critical goals for pivotal missions.”
Before joining Salient CRGT, Edgar served as the U.S. Post Service’s (USPS) Vice President of Information Technology, where he was responsible for one of the world’s largest corporate technology infrastructures with IT systems that operate around-the-clock powering all USPS business units.
“Our goal is to take a strategic view of the mission, and then to recommend the technologies, tools, methodologies and practices that will best address agency requirements,” Edgar said. “In that way, we can serve our customers both as a business partner and as technical experts.”
Colturi has been with Salient CRGT over the past 18 months, leading business development initiatives into the Federal Civilian Market. Prior to joining Salient CRGT, Colturi managed business development for Digital Management Inc. and spent 25 years as a leader at Booz Allen Hamilton. He will now direct the delivery of software design and development capabilities for modernizing, deploying, and operating mission-critical applications. The FMSS Business Unit provides systems design and development, software delivery best practices and best-of-breed solutions for modernizing legacy systems.
“The FMSS team’s experience spans all aspects of the systems development life cycle making major technology programs successful,” Colturi said. “It’s important to our customers that Salient CRGT bring systems delivery expertise and a problem-solving approach. We offer a unique ability that combines institutional business knowledge with highly skilled experts and engineers critical for successful modernized solutions.”
