We caught up on two weeks worth of govcon news in this week’s e-magazine.

WashingtonExec started its annual series covering the GovCon Award finalists; Knight Point Systems’ COO Doug Duenkel is our first interviewee.

NorthWind Partners’ Patrick Gray and Mark HuYoung each contributed to our Insight Corner, offering advice on how to apply M&A style to executive hires and how to make the right hires as a C-level executive, respectively.

Booz Allen’s Angela Messer also provides some STEM resources for students and working professionals.

Castlemar Consulting’s Mark Abel wrote a Guest Column on the four govcon trends to watch in 2016.

Finally, Jeff Woodson explains how a small business culture can be applied to a large business.

The WashingtonExec Leadership Council honored Gen. David Petraeus with the Luminary Award for his innovative thinking and strong convictions within the broader U.S. defense community. The FCW 2015 Rising Start Award was presented to Oceus Networks’ Michael Wheeless.

We also covered 10 federal contracts that have been awarded during the past two weeks.

With the change of the seasons came a change of jobs for 13 executives.

All this coverage, plus our event calendar and black-tie dinner guide can be found in this week’s e-magazine.
