    SMRC Awarded $10.9M, Five-Year Contract Supporting NOAA NESDIS

    It was announced by Sterling, Va.-based SMRC that it has won a five year, $10.9 million contract to provide Project Management Office and Engineering Management Services (POEMS) for the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS).

    SMRC will be working alongside partner, Washington Consulting, Inc. (WCI) to administer Program Office Support for the Environmental Satellite Processing and Distribution System (ESPDS) along with managing all PMO, systems engineering and technical support at the following NOAA locations; Suitland, MD; Wallops, VA; Fairmont, WV; and Fairbanks, AK.

    CEO, Neelu Modali said this of the 15 year partnership that SMRC has enjoyed with NOAA, “We are excited for the continued opportunity to support NOAA’s unique blend of IT and science requirements, helping to achieve their overarching mission through the highest quality service and stewardship.”
