Leidos, of Reston, Va., announced August 31 the appointment of Martin Miner as the new senior vice president and chief information officer.

Miner will be overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure and associated projects, improvement initiatives and technology investments supporting the business. Miner will report directly to Gulu Gambhir, the company’s Chief Technology Officer.

Miner brings 18 years of Leidos experience into this position. He has served as the company’s chief strategy officer, senior vice president for the Commercial Critical Infrastructure Operation. He has held senior positions at GE Aerospace/Martin Marietta, Texas Instruments Software and former-Leidos subsidiary CloudShield Technologies Inc.

Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Roger Krone said, “Marty’s experience spans across the intelligence community, the Department of Defense, federal, state and local, and commercial and international customers. He brings operational excellence, domain expertise, and a deep appreciation for what the organization needs from both a line and enterprise perspective. His unique skill set will enable him to improve the company’s technological infrastructure.”
