It was announced on August 17th by Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) that they have acquired the Federal IT services practice of Symbolic Systems which has a rich history and a deep understanding of Knowledge Management (KM), data management & IT services. This acquisition will enhance DSA’s U.S. Army KM practice.
“We are very excited about the Symbolic Systems acquisition,” said DSA Chairman of the Board and CEO, Fran Pierce. “DSA and Symbolic Systems have worked together for many years which made this acquisition a perfect fit for DSA, both technically and culturally. The move enables both organizations to extend enhanced Federal IT service offerings to both current and new customers.”
Taking over as Vice President of DSA is Robert Wheeler, former Chief Operating Officer for Symbolic Systems. Wheeler brings with him over 20 years of IT and executive management experience as well as 18 years of supporting DSA’s customer, the Program Executive Office for Command.
DSA and Symbolic Systems first started working together in the mid-1960s. “The government customers, our employees, and respective companies are all winners by what DSA and Symbolic Systems have accomplished,” noted Frank Ponzio, Symbolic System’s owner. “After our long history together, this made sense.”
