The 2015 K-12 STEM Symposium was held March 7, 2015, at the Nysmith School. Leidos served as the Presenting Sponsor and Vencore was the Platnium Sponsor.

The free, all-day event featured hands-on experiments for children, government and industry exhibitors, student science fair projects and panel discussions with STEM stakeholders. Attendees also received information about government and industry STEM-related high school and college internships.

STEM speakers and panelists included Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Anne Holton (Virginia Secretary of Education), Dr. Evan Glazer (Thomas Jefferson HS), Lou Von Thaer (Leidos), Michele Weslander-Quaid (Google), Dr. Ann Carbonell (NGA), Eric H. Schierling (Vencore), Pooja Chandrashekar (Thomas Jefferson HS), Kenneth D. Cameron (SAIC), Ken Nysmith (Nysmith School), Rob Zitz (Leidos), JD Kathuria (WashingtonExec), Ed Swallow (NDIA) and Brynn Koeppen (WashingtonExec).
