CALIBRE will host the 26th Annual CALIBRE Classic benefitting Homes for Our Troops on May 20, 2015, at the 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, Va.

“CALIBRE’s annual charity golf tournament is held in May in part to recognize National Military Appreciation Month,” company President and CEO Joe Martore said. “It is an honor to be a part of helping wounded service members through our relationship with Homes for Our Troops. This partnership not only helps to build accessible homes for our wounded veterans, but helps them to rebuild their lives.”

Last year’s event raised $60,000 to Homes for Our Troops.

Homes for Our Troops builds specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. This year’s donations will specifically benefit local veteran, Army SGT Steven Curry of Nokesville, Va. His unit was on an escort mission with the Air Force Explosive Ordnance Device team when it was struck by four explosively formed penetrators. As a result of the blast, SGT Curry suffered a traumatic brain injury from the explosion and the eventual amputation of his left leg below the knee.

The cost to participate is $100 per person, which includes free range balls, goodie bag, green fees, cart, beverage tickets and buffet dinner. Registration starts at 11 a.m. The format is four-person scramble, Captain’s Choice, no handicap restrictions. There will be awards for the first, second and third place, along with the women’s and men’s longest drive and closest to the pin.
