    SECAF Seeking Nominations for 8th Annual GovCon Awards, Deadline Extended to March 11, 2016

    The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) is currently accepting nominees for its 8th Annual Government Contractor Awards, which honors small and emerging government contractors and the players in the industry that rely on small businesses. The deadline has been extended to March 11th 2016.

    The awards will be presented on May 12, 2016.

    The following categories are available for nominees:

    • Government Contractor of the Year (Subcategories: Less than $6 million in revenue, $6 million to $12 million in revenue and $12 million to$25 million in revenue) — For companies that have shown a compelling and profound commitment to excellence in financial performance.
    • Award of Excellence (For SECAF members only) — Highlights organizations that represent excellence within their respective communities, the government contracting industry and towards employees
    • Government Project of the Year (For SECAF members only) — Recognizes companies that have delivered an exemplary program with significant value to the federal government.
    • Small Business Partner of the Year — For organizations that have demonstrated the ability to establish and support mentorships, teaming, partnerships and other beneficial programs for small businesses.

    The 2015 winners included Apogee Research, Cybermedia Technologies Inc., Atlas Research, IntelliWare Systems Inc., VariQ Corporation, IBM, Business Information Technology Solutions Inc. and Defense Intelligence Agency Director of the Office of Small Business Programs Maria L. Kersey.

    Nominations are due 5 p.m. March 1, 2016. Click here for more information.
