Whitney, Bradley & Brown Inc. (WBB), of Reston, Va., announced Jan. 6 that the company has been awarded an IDIQ with the U.S. Navy to provide warfare and warfare support analyses and assessments, campaign analyses, mission-level analyses, modeling and simulation, and management and documentation support services to meet the mission needs of the Director, Assessment Division (OPNAV 81). The WBB Team was one of three awardees on the $180.5 million U.S. Navy contract. The other contract awardees are SAIC and Metron.

“We are particularly excited about this win and the integration of our innovative services.” WBB’s Chief Development Officer Mike Perez said. “The Navy is under increased pressure to respond to rapidly changing conditions and managers must make complex and expensive decisions that are riddled with risk and uncertainty. WBB’s Discovery Informatics provides results to make better-informed decisions, faster.”

The requirement was competitively procured through full and open competition and solicited through the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website. The work for this contract is anticipated to be performed in Arlington and Reston, Va., and is expected to be completed by December 2019.

WBB’s Discovery Informatics is a solution based upon Evidence-based Decision Making (EbDM). Through the use of collaboration, mathematical and organizational behavior tools, Discovery Informatics combines several technologies and disciplines that add rigor to the decision support process through an emphasis on refining the objective, finding evidence, analysis, visualization, and a taking action framework.
