Salient Federal Solutions Inc., of Fairfax, Va., announced Dec. 15 the company has been awarded three task orders, totaling more than $2.2 million, from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic. These task orders are for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Mass Notification Systems Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract.

“We are honored to continue our long standing relationship with the United States Marine Corps and the privilege to be their leading provider for mass notification support since 2010,” Salient COO Bill Parker said. “We will provide lifesaving mass notification technologies that will protect the service men and women, who dedicate their lives to defending our country.”

The mass notification system enables the Marine Corps leadership to notify their personnel in the event of emergencies, exercises or other circumstances as needed.

Salient will be designing, procuring, delivering, installing and upgrading indoor and outdoor emergency mass notification systems for 20 USMC sites under the task orders.

WashingtonExec covered Salient’s last contract award in November, when the company was awarded a subcontract by EIC for the Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J) Instructors and Administrators Services contract.
