The Federal Health IT Summit will be held Nov. 19-20, 2014, at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. to examine the IT landscape across an ever evolving healthcare ecosystem.

The first day of the event runs from noon to 5:00 p.m. with the MITRE-ATARC Health IT Collaboration Symposium, which will feature discussions and white-boarding between government and industry subject matter experts in a small-group setting. The outcomes of these sessions will be compiled in a White Paper with recommendations to the government. It will be followed by a reception until 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, the day opens with the ATARC Health IT Showcase and opening remarks delivered by Dr. Joseph Ronzio, Special Assistant to the Chief Health Technology Officer, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and Tom Suder, President, Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC).

The morning keynote speaker will also be Dr. Ronzio, followed three Visionary Panels on the topics of “Health Information Exchange and Interoperability,” “Leveraging Big Data and Analytics to Enhance Healthcare” and the “Role of Health IT in Emergency Preparedness and Response.”

The ATARC Health IT Innovation Awards will be presented at 12:45 p.m. to those individuals and teams that use Information Technology to enhance the delivery of healthcare services.

The event continues until 5:00 p.m. To see the full schedule, click here.
