RSA, the Security Division of EMC, announced Oct. 28 the promotion of Amit Yoran from SVP of Products to President.

As president, Yoran will be responsible for delivering a unified customer experience across products, marketing, sales and services. RSA’s Executive Chairman Art Coviello will work with Yoran to continue driving RSA’s strategic direction.
Yoran has more than 20 years of cyber security expertise and is considered an industry authority on the evolution of the security landscape and how enterprises can successfully defend themselves against advanced threats.
Prior to RSA, Yoran founded and served as the CEO of NetWitness, which was acquired by RSA in 2011, and CEO of Riptech, which was acquired by Symantec in 2002, where he served as VP of Worldwide Managed Security Services.
Yoran previously served as the founding director of the U.S. Computer Emergency Response Team and as a founding member of the U.S. Dept. of Defense’s CERT program.
