A lot has happened this week in the government contracting industry, but if you’ve been too busy to keep up with it all, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Here’s what happened in case you missed it:

Finalists for the 12th Annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards were announced, including Arc Aspicio, Attain and AMERICAN SYSTEMS.

Oceus Networks promoted Randy Fuerst into the role of chief executive. Fuerst, who has served as president and chief operating officer since his start at the company three years ago, will continue to serve as president in his new role.

In another executive move, David L. McClure joined Veris Group, LLC as its new chief strategist. McClure brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the federal government to his new role, including an 18-year career with the Government Accountability Office.

WashingtonExec also shared the story of a budding government contractor, PJ Smith III, in an exclusive interview. Read about how Smith III learned the contracting ropes, both from his father and fellow contractor – Paul Smith II – and through his own education and experience.

Finally, we announced a couple of contract awards, including big wins by Serco and Accenture Federal Services.

For these stories and many more, read the e-magazine in its entirety here.
