McLean, Va.-based Dovel Technologies, a software application development and emerging information technology solutions company, announced Sept. 8 the appointment of Michael Williams as Senior Vice President to oversee and manage the company’s contract with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Administration for Children & Families Grants Center of Excellence (ACF/GCOE).

“The ACF effort benefits from a strong partnership between government leadership, and the Dovel team as we have worked to build an efficient and effective grants management solution that can be widely used across agencies,” Dovel CEO Paul Leslie said. “Mike will help us as we work with the GCOE to modernize and improve this solution, allowing for greater scalability and functionality.”

“I am excited to be joining Dovel as I will be working with a team of dedicated and innovative technologists focused on delivering critical services and solutions to the COE,” Williams said. “The ACF team has developed a comprehensive grants management offering, and I am looking forward to helping them realize the full potential of the technology and the program.”

Williams joins Dovel from Camber Corporation where he served as the SVP and General Manager for Camber’s Aerospace Defense Group. Under his leadership, a wide range of services and solutions were provided to DoD and Federal customers, capitalizing on Engineering, Program Management, Acquisition & Test Support, Logistics and MS&T strengths.

His career includes management roles at a number of companies including Lockheed Martin, QinetiQ NA, American Management Systems, TRW and EDS.
