Iqbal Khowaja recently joined Vencore Solutions, the company formerly known as The SI Organization, as chief innovation officer for the Chantilly-based company’s Civilian Solutions group.
Vencore finalized its acquisition of QinetiQ NA in May.
Khowaja, who most recently led the civilian administrative and health agency accounts at Unisys Federal Systems as practice director, will be tasked in his new post with introducing disruptive technologies into federal IT.
“Iqbal is chartered to shun government silos and bring radical improvements to status-quo and conventional US Fed Govt. IT Systems through the use of game-changing, trans-formative and disruptive technologies,” according to a statement. “Iqbal’s core focus will be bringing the velocity of innovation while closely adhering to the US Federal Government’s “Cloud First”, “Mobile First” and “Share First” mandates.”
A graduate of the Wharton School’s Executive Masters in Technology Management, Khowaja is a member of the Google Glass Explorer Program and champion of wearable computing for federal use.
