Michael Polmar has joined The SI Organization, Inc. as senior vice president of business development, according to the company.

“I am excited to join such a reputable firm,” Polmar said. “I look forward to forging new relationships, as well as serving our existing relationships with the same quality of service that the SI has provided for 40 years.”

Polmar has more than 26 years of experience in business development and creating opportunities in new markets. He previously served as the senior vice president of business development of ManTech’s Technical Services Group and as vice president for BD and marketing at SAIC’s Intelligence and Information Systems business unit.

There, he led the company’s efforts in the development and acquisition of domestic and international military programs. He has held business development and profit and loss leadership roles at companies including Neohapsis, AT&T Government Solutions, New Skies Satellites, Inc. and the Cortana Corp.

The SI, which has local locations in Chantilly and in Laurel, Md., provides full life cycle, mission-focused systems engineering and integration capabilities to the U.S. intelligence community, the Defense Department and other agencies.
