Amazon has named Chantilly-based Agilex an Advanced Consulting Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN). Agilex provides mission and technology solutions to the federal government, including supporting agencies in the AWS GovCloud (US) Region, which is an isolated Amazon Web Services (AWS) Region that addresses regulatory and compliance requirements so that government agencies and customers can move sensitive workloads into the cloud. The certification recognizes partners who have developed AWS competencies with accredited technical professionals and a minimum of four customer references.

“Having led some of the government’s largest migrations, Agilex is fully committed to helping federal agencies capitalize on the cloud,” said Agilex Chief Strategy Officer Roger Baker. “One of our key strengths is re-architecting and reengineering existing systems to operate natively in the cloud. By leveraging AWS’ industry-leading infrastructure, agencies can reduce operating costs, improve performance, and become more adaptive and resilient.  We look forward to very exciting and productive work on AWS.”

Besides helping federal agencies migrate to the cloud, Agilex also guides them in modernizing infrastructure and consolidating datacenters. The company’s previous recognitions include developing a cloud environment for one agency, which was highlighted as a best practice by ComputerWorld and one of the most innovative programs in government by InformationWeek.
