Vienna, VA-based Trowbridge & Trowbridge, LLC (T&T) announced last week that is has completed its acquisition of contract assets associated with EMW, Inc.’s GSA Alliant Small Business (SB) Contract GS-06F-0622Z. The acquisition included the novation by contract modification of EMW’s duties and obligations associated with the GSA Alliant SB contract to T&T.

Alliant’s SB Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) is a competitive multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract tasked with helping government agencies meet their small business requirements.

“Innovation is a hallmark of Alliant Small Business,” said T&T President and CEO Karen Trowbridge. “Our current clients already know how successfully we apply our entrepreneurial spirit to their mission challenges. Alliant provides an exciting prospect for T&T to broaden the reach of our solutions.”

Alliant’s lucrative contract has a $15 billion ceiling, and GSA recently extended its period of performance until February 2, 2019. To date GSA has awarded more than 300 task orders under the Alliant SB vehicle, with a total value exceeding $4.5 billion.

GWACs offer federal agencies an efficient way to procure IT services and service-based solutions. T&T is a provider of these services, including IT, data center operations, cyber security, and unified communications services to the federal civilian, defense, and health markets.

According to T&T COO Chris Brandell, GWACs are the perfect contracting solution for agencies. “Whether you need to create a cloud-based e-mail service, develop a secure agency-wide IT infrastructure, implement an information assurance response center, or provide IT support for a CIO, this GWAC shortens your procurement cycle and maximizes small business utilization.”

Trowbridge noted that 21 of the nearly 70 original prime contractors grew out of the small business categorization during the first 5 years of the contract vehicle. “A number of companies found substantial success through Alliant Small Business,” she said. “T&T is excited to grow with Alliant as well. As a proven Federal partner we will bring the same customer confidence to the next 5 years that GSA established during the initial contract period.”
