Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) last week announced it elected Monte E. Ford and Keith Trippie to its board. Based in Folsom, Ca., the technology solutions provider consults to federal, state and local government agencies.

“VIP is extremely privileged and honored to welcome both Keith and Monte to our board,” said Jonna Ward, the chief executive of VIP. “When I think back to where we were when I founded VIP from my living room in 1996, and I look to where we are now as a rapidly growing company with nine digits of annual revenue and nine digits of backlogged revenue, I know that the key to us turning the next corner of growth lies in our continued focus on client success. Bringing two accomplished individuals to our board who clearly share that passion and commitment to excellence is a pivotal next step for us.”

Ford brings with him experience as executive chairman and chief executive of Aptian Software, as well as chief information officer of American Airlines. Fortune magazine in the past recognized the leader as one of of the “50 Smartest People in Tech,” according to a VIP press statement, and Ford was among the first inductees to CIO Magazine’s CIO Hall of Fame.

Trippie’s accolades include having been recognized for his technology leadership at the Homeland Security Department  — a role that eventually landed him an FCW Fed 100 award — and experience serving as the acting executive director at enterprise business management office within DHS’s office of the chief information officer.

Today Trippie is the chief executive of The Trippie Group LLC, a company he founded, where he provides consulting services in the arena of innovative technology. In December, he chaired the Advanced Mobility Academic Research Center’s (AMARC) final Federal Cloud Summit of 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. Read about that here.
