When it comes to big data innovation, the target of research runs the gamut, ranging from enhancing encryption to addressing privacy concerns to finding the most efficient means of identifying insights across multi structured data, among other aims.
A Gartner, Inc. “Cool Vendor” report released last month identifies the five big data vendors who offer unique approaches to finding hidden insights within prepared data.
At the top of the technology consultancy’s list was Data RPM, a Fairfax, Va.-based Big Data Discovery that uses “Cognitive Computational Graph Search” technology in attempts to address concerns that big data technology is time-consuming, costly, painful to collect and poses a software learning curve.
Sundeep Sanghavi, DataRPM’s chief executive, said his company’s technologies address the most common barriers to deriving value from analytics.
“Our solution employs cognitive computation algorithms for the heavy lift and provides a natural language question answering interface, allowing the users to spend more time interpreting, understanding and finding insights within their data,” Sanghavi said “We clear the hurdles presented by Big Data Discovery for enterprises of all sizes, and we believe inclusion in the Gartner Cool Vendors report adds additional validation to our approach.”
Also on Gartner’s list were Decisyon, Geofeedia, PeopleLinx and Semantria. You can access the full report here.
