Student financial aid veteran Robert “Bob” Evans joined Attain, LLC last month as managing director of the company’s newly established Financial Aid Management and Student Services practice aimed at extending the company’s capabilities within its Higher Education and Academic Medical Centers (HEAMC), Attain announced near the end of last month.

Prior to joining the Vienna, Va. based management, technology and strategy consultancy, Evans led his own consulting group in Colorado as president and chief executive of Evans Consulting Group, LLC, a provider of financial aid solutions to institutions of higher education.

He’ll be tasked at the head of the new practice with expanding Attain’s offerings to include capabilities including remote on-site processing support, financial aid assessments and compliance as well as interim staffing, optimization and training.

“Our expansion into the student financial aid market represents a significant opportunity to continue to position our team for increased growth with both new and existing clients,” said John O’Neill, Attain’s HEAMC division president.

Evans said he is thrilled to join the company’s leadership team. “I’m confident the synergy created by Attain’s management and strategy thought leadership, combined with the practice team’s 20-year expertise in the area of financial aid and student service operations, will yield great results for the higher education community,” he said.
