Array Information Technology (ARRAY) recently announced that business and marketing analyst Chi-Lai Poon has been selected by AFCEA International to receive its Meritorious Service Award for her outstanding service and dedication to the chapter and the community. ARRAY Information Technology, Inc. specializes in services to the National Security, Defense, and Scientific Sectors.

During a period of constrained resources throughout the government, ARRAY business and marketing analyst Poon led a serious of creative sponsorship drives that leveraged both traditional IT sponsors as well as non-traditional sponsors.

Poon formed and led a team of YAFCEANS (young AFCEANS) as well as more experienced members, in order to increase sponsorship revenue for the group. She was also recognized for mentoring both YAFCEANs and senior members of the Chapter through her actions and personal leadership, always taking the time to discuss the “why” of actions and organizing her team to maximize their skills.

“We have never seen a 24-year-old assume such great responsibility and be so successful for the NOVA Chapter and for AFCEA,” said Michael Kush, Vice President of Chapter Affairs at AFCEA NOVA. “Chi-Lai is an excellent leader and her superior leadership is a daily example through our mentoring programs of YAFCEAN involvement and activity.”

In her role at ARRAY, Poon has presented the firm’s capabilities to senior military and industry leaders with distinction and has been recognized for her technical skills and knowledge. She also created and manages ARRAY’s corporate social media efforts, and supports the company’s marketing, sales and corporate objectives.

“We are so proud of all that Chi-Lai has accomplished and the outstanding work she is doing with AFCEA,” said Sumeet Shrivastava, President of ARRAY. “Chi-Lai is an important part of the ARRAY family and we are very lucky to have such a hard working, dedicated, and well respected member of the community to represent ARRAY.”

Previously, Chi Lai was awarded AFCEA International’s Meritorious Award and NOVA Chapter’s YAFCEAN and Super NOVA awards.  Chi Lai also received the Outstanding Service Award for her successful efforts in support of Warfighter IT Day, Oct 2013.
