ManTech International Corporation announced earlier this month it will provide training and services through a prime contract valued at $33.6 million with the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Systems Center Pacific (SSC) to the group’s training development and support center (TDSC) for command, communications, control, intelligence, computers, surveillance and reconnaissance.
The company has provided support to the TDSC for nine years and will under the new contract conduct training analysis, development, implementation and training delivery for virtual system technologies as well as send training teams to Navy ships and activities internationally, according to a ManTech press statement.
“Providing effective scenario-based, hands-on training to military personnel in remote locations is an essential training task for the armed services,” said Daniel J. Keefe, the chief executive officer and president of the company’s Mission Solutions & Services Group. “We are pleased to continue providing innovative solutions–from our interactive computer-based and web-based training to our latest cyber defense virtual training environment–to enhance the effectiveness of SSCPAC’s training efforts.”
ManTech, based in Fairfax, Va., is among four awardees vying for task orders under the contract. SAIC is also among those slated to provide training services through the contract.
