The 13th Annual HR Leadership Awards Gala of Greater Washington to celebrate leaders and collaboration in the human resources industry is set to be held June 10 at the Crystal City Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va.
Melissa Benik, executive director of the HR Leadership Awards, expressed excitement about HRLA hosting the event and said that the gala brings together CHROs, HR leaders, CFOs and CEOs.
“… It is an opportunity to showcase the best practices being implemented and a tremendous opportunity to network,” Benik said. “The awards are a great boost of publicity for a nominee and their company as well as a way to recognize individuals and teams for their successes. Our winners create a great alumni network of thought leaders that we at HRLA are proud to promote. The deadline for award submissions is March 15th!”
Awards will be bestowed upon recipients in the following categories: Leadership, Strategic Alignment, Innovation, Mentoring, The Sister Eymard Gallagher Award for Corporate Social Responsibility; and The Dr. J.P. London Award for Promoting Ethical Behavior.
The gala kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with an opening reception. The event’s dinner awards program will be held from 6:30p.m. until 8:15 p.m., with an encore dessert reception scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
The awards were founded in 2001 by Marymount University and local business executives to promote and advance excellence in human resources. HRLA also recognizes emerging leaders in the HR profession and awards scholarships to students pursuing careers in the HR field.
Benik said that registration for the gala should be open by the end of next week and interested individuals can check the website for the latest.
Tickets are $250 per person or $2,250 for a table of 10.
