Benchmark Executive Search, based in Reston, has announced the promotion of Phoebe Henderson to managing partner of the executive search firm’s day-to-day activities.

Henderson has been with Benchmark since 2012 and was previously tasked with end-to-end search execution, client development and expansion of the executive search firm’s federal IT practice while establishing new practice areas.

She will now supervise growing and developing partnerships, expand and manage the team and forge new business relationships with organizations in targeted industries, the company said.

Henderson will also work closely with Jeremy King, managing partner and cofounder of Benchmark, which focuses in the Washington, D.C. area to help companies recruit top talent in the technology, cyber security and telecommunications sectors.

“Before joining Benchmark, Phoebe had an amazing reputation for providing great advice to companies, clients, executives and candidates, ” said King. “Today, the relationships, as well as the trust she has earned and established, have given Benchmark an impressive network for us to leverage. Based on her passion, sincerity and results, she was fast-tracked to managing partner to help the company meet a surge in demand.”

Henderson’s previous experience includes a career in satellite technology, where she worked for companies such as Iridium, LLC, Stratos and COMSAT. She has also been involved with several non-profit organizations including the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).

Henderson has a degree in Justice and Policy Studies from Guilford College in North Carolina.humantouch TILE AD
