The Northern Virginia Family Service will present the 2014 Road to Independence Gala on May 9 at the Hilton McLean in Tysons Corner. • And Sid Dewberry, chairman emeritus of Dewberry and one of Northern       Virginia’s visionaries, will be honored with NVFS’s Legends of Northern      Virginia Award.

About 600 business and community leaders are expected to attend the event, which will feature live and silent auctions. The night’s gala chair, AMERICAN SYSTEMS CEO Bill Hoover, supports the event at the Grand Benefactor Level of $25,000.

The event will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions, dinner and a short program.
