AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a leading IT and engineering company, announced today that Hyuk Byun has been appointed Vice President/General Manager of Professional Services and Pete Pflugrath has been appointed Vice President/General Manager of Custom Solutions. The company’s dual promotion enable both the Professional Services and Custom Solutions teams to benefit from new ideas generated across the company.

Byun has more than 25 years of experience in the government and IT communities. He joined AMERICAN SYSTEMS in 2007 as head of the Custom Solutions offering group. He will translate his experience to his new role as Vice President/General manager of Professional Solutions with the hope of broadening the group’s horizons.
Similarly, Pflugrath brings over 25 years of experience as a leader within the DOD, intelligence and federal community. He joined AMERICAN SYSTEMS in 2010 and will now lead the Custom Solutions offering group, where he developed and managed identity management programs and complex systems like the Synchronized Pre-deployment Operational Tracker (SPOT) Enterprise System.
