Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) today announced it was awarded a prime contract by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide tools and services to implement continuous monitoring through the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), Tools and Continuous Monitoring as a Service (CMaaS) contract. The contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and is valued up to $6 billion, if all options are exercised.

SAIC is one of 17 awardees eligible to compete for work under the BPA.

The SAIC team will provide tools and services that will enable Federal agencies and state, local, tribal, and territorial governments to enhance/automate their existing continuous network monitoring capabilities, correlate and analyze critical security-related information, and enhance risk-based decision making at the agency and Federal enterprise level.

“We are proud to be a key partner in the CDM program and understand the strategic importance of this cybersecurity program,” said Julie Taylor, senior vice president and national security operations manager at SAIC. “SAIC will apply deep domain expertise, threat prioritization based on risk based analytics, and innovation to help support the federal initiative toward securing and strengthening the nation’s cyber protection profile.”

The CDM program will strengthen the cyber security posture of the Federal civilian “.gov” networks, helping to protect cyber infrastructure.
